If f(x)=3x+2 and g(x) =x^2 +1 which expression is equivalent to (f•g)(x)

(f · g)(x) = f(x) · g(x)

f(x) = 3x + 2; g(x) = x^2 + 1

(f · g)(x) = (3x + 2)(x^2 + 1) = 3x^3 + 3x + 2x^2 + 2 = 3x^3 + 2x^2 + 3x + 2

The percents of different drinks sold at a snack shop are shown in the circle graph. What percent of the drinks sold were colas?
Airida [17]
If this was you image:
Ice tea: 30%
Lemonade: 32%
Colas: ?

The percent of the drinks sold that were colas is 38%.

One whole circle is equivalent to 100%. Since the ice tea takes up 30% of the circle and lemonade takes up 32% of the circle, the remaining portion for colas is no longer 100%. We simply deduct these percentages from 100% to get the percentage of colas which is 38%.

10×+2=7 what is equal to 2x?
lakkis [162]
x in (-oo:+oo)

2/7 = 2*x // - 2*x

2/7-(2*x) = 0

2/7-2*x = 0

2/7-2*x = 0 // - 2/7

-2*x = -2/7 // : -2

x = -2/7/(-2)

x = 1/7

x = 1/7

Five times the difference of twice a number and eleven is negative twenty-five. Find the number.
Ilia_Sergeevich [38]
Let x be the number.
The equation would be: 5 (2x - 11) = -25
Multiply 2x - 11 by 5 so that it is 10x - 55
Now, move the -55 to the other side of the equation so 10x = -25 + 55
Subtract so 10x = 30
Now divide 30 by 10 to find x.
x = 3

Jasper is giving four non-collinear points. How many different triangles can he draw using these points?
kotegsom [21]

Answer:

4

Step-by-step explanation:

There are 4 ways to ignore one of the points. The other 3 can be connected to form a triangle.

_____

More formally, the number of ways that 4 items can be chosen 3 at a time is given by ...

... C(4, 3) = 4!/(3!(4-3)!) = 4/1 = 4

¿cuales números naturales de dos cifras cumplen la condición de que su triple disminuido en 5, sea menor que su doble aumentado
stiks02 [169]

Answer: 10, 11 and 12.

Step-by-step explanation:

This translates to:

Find the natural numbers of two digits that fulfill the condition that when triple and decreased in 5, is less than the double increased in 8?

suppose that A is our number of two digits, this means that:

3*A - 5 < 2*A + 8

It makes sense to start with the smaller number of two digits, 10.

3*10 - 5 < 2*10 + 8

25 < 28

this is true.

Now let's check the next one, 11.

11*3 - 5 < 2*11 + 8

28 < 30

This is true again, now let's try with the next one, 12.

3*12 - 5 < 2*12 + 8

31 < 32

This is true again, now let's find the last one.

3*13 - 5 < 2*13 + 8

34 < 34

this is not true, so the numbers that fulfill the condition are 10, 11, and 12.

A faster way to prove it is, suppose that both sides of our inequality are equal, then find the value of A.

3*A - 5 = 2*A + 8

3*A - 2*A = 8 + 5 = 13

A = 13

This means that any number of two digits less than 13 fulfills the condition, those numbers are 10, 11, and 12.
