X-3(-x+2)=-18
x+3x-6=-18
4x-6=-18
4x=-18+6
4x=-12
divided 4 both side
x=-3

y=3+2
y=5
(-3, 5) or x=-3 and y=5

1. Substitute y=-x+2 into x-3y=-18:

x-3(-x+2)=-18,

x+3x-6=-18,

x+3x=-18+6,

4x=-12,

x=-3.

Then y=-(-3)+2=3+2=5.

2. The graphs of two equations you can see in attached diagram. Common point (the point of intersection) represents the solution of the system of two equations.

Answer: (-3,5) or x=-3, y=5.

(I already did the first half, the Pythagorean theorem part, and the rest is easy I know that for a fact but I don't know how to
Otrada [13]

Answer:

3

Step-by-step explanation:

You'll need to use the Angle Bisector Theorem.

CU / ZU = BC / BZ

From the first part of the problem, you used Pythagorean theorem to find that BZ = 10.

Let's say that CU = x.  That means ZU = 8 − x.  Plugging in values:

x / (8 − x) = 6 / 10

Cross multiply:

10x = 6(8 − x)

Solve:

10x = 48 − 6x

16x = 48

x = 3

A line has a slope of -2/3 and passes through the point (–3, 8). What is the equation of the line?
ivann1987 [24]
 Note that an equation in the slope intercept form is y= mx + b where the slope is m and the y-intercept is b. Since we already know the slope (\frac{2}{3}, we can insert that for m.) y = \frac{2}{3} + b and this cancels out answer choice y = 6x - 2/3 and 8x - 2/3

The students at Porterville Elementary sold raffle tickets, each for the same price, for a fundraiser. The equation below shows
7nadin3 [17]

Answer:

76

Step-by-step explanation:

We were given The equation below which shows how much money was raised with t tickets sold. $836 = $11t

Mathematically, unit rate is How much of something per 1 unit of something else

$836 = $11t

Then we can get the value for "t" as

t= 836/11

t= 76

Hence, Unit rate is 76
