In Tuck Everlasting, Winnie says, "Stone walls do not a prison make". What does that mean and how is it demonstrated through her actions/thoughts?

The walls are not indeed “jail looking” I guess you could say,I had this once it’s a trick question,I’d give your opinion though (if you can see the wall)
