To solve for y we will use the INVERSE OPERATION of subtraction which is addition. Lets do it:-

y - 18 = 10
10 + 18 = y
10 + 18 = 28
y = 28

CHECK OUR WORK:-

28 - 18 = 10
We were RIGHT!!!

So, y = 28.

Hope i helped ya!!!

In this question we can see that there is one unknown variable named “y” and one equation. So it is absolutely possible to find the correct value of the unknown variable “y”. Now let us check the equation that is given and solve it correctly.
y - 18 = 10
y = 10 + 18
  = 28
So the value of the unknown variable “y” is 28. I hope this is the answer you were looking for and the procedure is clear to you.

angle 1 and angle 2 are complementary angles. given the following information, find measures of both angles
kifflom [539]
∠1 and ∠2 are complementary.
∠1 + ∠2 = 90°

Question a:

∠1 = 23°
∠2 = 90 - 23 = 67°

Ans:  67°

Question b:
∠1 = x
∠2 = 2x + 3
x + 2x + 3 = 90
3x + 3 = 90
3x = 90 - 3
3x = 87
x = 29

∠1 = 29°
∠2 = 2(29) + 3 = 61°

Ans: ∠1 = 29°, ∠2 = 61°

I WILL GIVE BRAINLIEST AND THANKS SOLVE THE QUADRATIC EQUATION
laiz [17]

Answer:

x = -0.907, 2.57

Step-by-step explanation:

Quadratic Formula: x=\frac{-b+/-\sqrt{b^2-4ac} }{2a}

Since we are given <em>a</em> = 3, <em>b</em> = -5, and <em>c</em> = -7 from our quadratic, we simply use the Quadratic Formula:

Step 1: Plug in variables

x=\frac{-(-5)+/-\sqrt{(-5)^2-4(3)(-7)} }{2(3)}

Step 2: Solve

x=\frac{5+/-\sqrt{25+ 84} }{6}

x=\frac{5+/-\sqrt{109} }{6}

Step 3: Evaluate for decimals

You should get x = -0.906718 and 2.57338 as your answers.
