Answer:

Landscape, climate, and resources influence the development of native American societies in two aspects. The first aspect is the pattern of trade. This concerns on the trade goods for the economic purpose. The second aspect is the sacred power. This concerns on their belief that the natural world was immersed with spiritual power.

Explanation:

Aforementioned, the two aspects will be described below:

1. Patterns of Trade

In areas where Indians had specialization in certain economic activities, regional trade networks made them able to share resources. So, hunters in the southern plains, such as Navajo and Apache, hold annual trade shows with Pueblo farmers, exchanging skins and meat for cotton blankets, pottery, and corn, pottery.

Similar patterns of exchange occurred throughout the Great Plains, where hunters and farmers lived side by side. In parts of North America, regional trade in prisoners of war who were once as slaves helped maintain friendly relations between neighboring groups.

2. Sacred Power

Women and men interacted in different ways with this spiritual power. In farming communities, women grew crops and maintained fireplaces, houses, and villages. Native American concepts of women's power associated the generative functions of their bodies with the fertility of the earth. There is also a summer ritual of renewal and purification to help maintaining the saviors of the world around them. This summer ritual is called Green Corn Ceremony.

For men, spiritual power was used in hunting and war. To be successful, men were careful so that the spirits of the animals they killed aren’t offended. They did a ritual, during, and after the hunt to recognize the guardian spirit's strength, and they believed that, when an animal was properly killed, its spirit would rise from the earth unhurt. Success in hunting and war skills were both interpreted as signs of holy protection and power.
