The type of cartilage which forms each body cartilage includes;

1. Fibrocartilage. It is a thick bundle of collagen in ECM. There is no perichondrium. It is located in the articular discs. Its work is to support and join structures together. It is the strongest type of cartilage.

2. Elastic cartilage.

It is a threadlike network of fibers in ECM. It is located in the tip of nose and ear. It works is to elasticity and strengthen and maintains shape.

3. Hyaline cartilage.

It has chondrocytes in lacunae and in the outer layer is covered with perichondrium. Its work is to provide flexibility, support weakest and shock absorption. It is located in the fetal skeleton, tip of nose and end of bones.

What is selective permeability?
konstantin123 [22]
Selective permeability, made possible in cells by the phospholipid bilayer that makes up the plasma membrane, is basically monitoring and regulating what can and can't enter the cell. It is carried out by a series of membrane proteins that act as channels to polar molecules, opening to allow them in and closing to prevent their entry. This is possible because the hydrophobic tails of the phospholipid molecules repel polar molecules and so prevent their entry unless through a channel.

Which of the following is true about a plant with the genotype AABbcc? It is homozygous at two gene loci. (Look up "loci" if nee
Shkiper50 [21]

Answer:

It is homozygous at two gene loci.

Explanation:

An organism may be homozygous or heterozygous for a particular gene. The presence of two identical alleles of a gene in the genome of an organism makes it homozygous for the gene. On the other hand, the presence of two dissimilar alleles of a gene makes the organism heterozygous for the gene.

For instance, AA or aa are homozygous states since two copies of identical alleles (dominant and recessive respectively) are present. The genotype "Aa" is heterozygous since it has one dominant and one recessive allele for a particular gene.

The given genotype "AABbcc" is homozygous for "A" and "c" due to the presence of two copies of dominant and recessive alleles respectively. However, it is heterozygous for the second loci (Bb). Since the recessive allele is present in the homozygous state (cc), it will express itself.
