Well, both 4 and 56 can be divided by two, which simplifies the number to 2/28. Both 2 and 28 can be divided by two, which simplifies to 1/14. Therefore 1/14 is the simplest form.

You could also do this faster by discovering that both 4 and 56 can be divided by four, and then simplify in one step.

Basically, the way to simplify is to find a common number that both numbers can be divided by. Continue doing that until there is not a number that both numbers can be divided by.

Hope this helps! If you have any questions I will do my best to answer in the comments.

The total amount that would be spent on all the activities is  $1605.40.

<h3>What is the total amount?</h3>

The total amount that would be spent on movies = (14/25) x 1200 x 1.55  = $1041.60

The total amount that would be spent on planetarium tickets = (7/25) x 1200 x 1.05 =352.80

The total amount that would be spent on backstage passes = (4/25) x 1200 x 1.10 =211.20

Total amount = 211.20 + 352.80 +  $1041.60 = $1605.40

Question 1
allochka39001 [22]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Perimeter of quarter circle = r + r + \frac{1}{4}*2*\pi *r

            = 10 + 10 + \frac{1}{4}*2*3.14*10\\\\= 10 + 10 + 3.14*5\\\\\\= 10 + 10 + 15.70\\\\= 35.70 cm

2) d = 2*10 = 20 cm

Perimeter of semicircle = diameter + (1/2) * circumference of circle

                         = 20 + \frac{1}{2}* 2*\pi *r\\\\= 20 + \frac{1}{2}*2*3.14*10\\\\= 20 + 3.14*10\\\\= 20 + 31.4\\\\= 51.40 cm

3) Perimeter of three-quarter =  r + r + (3/4)* circumference of circle

          = 10 + 10 + \frac{3}{4}*2*\pi *r\\\\= 10 + 10 + \frac{3}{4} * 2 * 3.14 * 10\\\\= 10 + 10 + 3 * 3.14 * 5\\\\= 10 + 10 + 47.1\\\\= 67.1 cm
