Well, both 4 and 56 can be divided by two, which simplifies the number to 2/28. Both 2 and 28 can be divided by two, which simplifies to 1/14. Therefore 1/14 is the simplest form.

You could also do this faster by discovering that both 4 and 56 can be divided by four, and then simplify in one step.

Basically, the way to simplify is to find a common number that both numbers can be divided by. Continue doing that until there is not a number that both numbers can be divided by.

Hope this helps! If you have any questions I will do my best to answer in the comments.

How do you do this problem?
zhenek [66]

Answer:

A) g is increasing, and the graph of g is concave up.

Step-by-step explanation:

g'(x) = ∫₀ˣ e^(-t³) dt

Since e^(-t³) is always positive, ∫₀ˣ e^(-t³) dt is positive when x > 0.  So the function is increasing.

Find g"(x) by taking the derivative using second fundamental theorem of calculus:

g"(x) = e^(-x³)

g"(x) is always positive, so the function is always concave up.

What is the value of x and y?
Pavel [41]

Answer:

x=\boxed{2}

y=\boxed{4}

Step-by-step explanation:

\begin{cases} y= 6x-8... (1)\\\\y=-3x+10...(2)\end{cases}

From equations (1) & (2), we find:

6x - 8 = - 3x +10

\therefore 6x+3x = 8+10

\therefore 9x = 18

\therefore x =\frac{18}{9}

\therefore x = 2

Plug x = 2 in equation (1)

y = 6(2)-8 = 12-8 =4

So,

x=\boxed{2}

y=\boxed{4}
