There is no bias in the survey question In order for a question to be biased, it is necessary for it to be formulated in the way that it explicitly expresses a position regarding the issue that is being assessed.

For the question to biased it would have to be formulated like this: "Should a state have the power to kill a person for breaking the law, leaving the federal courts with no decision power regarding these matters, potentially increasing the chance of an erroneous verdict?".

Christianity was formed on or around 33 AD, with protestant denominations being formed from the protestant reformation in the 16th century. Islam was formed in the 7th century. Jewish history begins around 1800 BC.
