Fear is the motivating emotion that a person with anorexia experience. Anorexia Nervosa is a syndrome where in the person thinks that she is fat and the person fears of becoming fat. People that experienced this syndrome are called anorexic. In order for the anorexic to become thin, they tend to purge their mouth to make them vomit. Some drink laxatives in a wrong manner to remove the fat inside them.

Social factors like media can lead to the development of an eating disorder. Magazines, television, etc. can inspire an individual negatively and cause them to develop ed. Peers can also inspire individuals to develop ed.
