Step-by-step explanation:

2(x+3)=2x+6, substituting the first equation in the second

A train travels 430 miles in 5 hours at a constant speed. If its speed remains the same, how long will it take to travel the rem
Taya2010 [7]

Answer:

2.5 hours

Step-by-step explanation:

To get the hourly speed, we need to divide 430 by 5.

This means that the train is going at a speed of 86 miles/hour.

Since we need to find the hour, we need to divide 215 miles by 86 miles/hour.

215 miles / \frac{86 miles}{hour}

We can use the keep change flip to do 215 miles * \frac{1 hour}{86 miles}

This would give us 2.5 hours.
