I saw that I could not beat you by Indian fighting, I determined to rush on you, and fight you face to face. I fought hard. But your guns were well aimed. The bullets flew like birds in the air, and whizzed by our ears like the wind through the trees in the winter.

He used figures of speech that directly compared all the happenings of the event with the elements of nature.

For example, he compared the speed of the fired bullets with the flight of birds in air, he also compared its sound to that of the wind that blows trees in winter. These comparisons are done using simile.

This rhetoric emphasizes the relationship man has with nature that he cannot disconnect from.

r-ruslan [8.4K]

Answer:

E). "We will start selling your items in our store next Tuesday."

Explanation:

A concise sentence refers to a sentence that doesn't include any unnecessary words or description and offer the intended meaning or message in fewest possible words to enhance the effectiveness of the message.

The sentence that exemplifies a concise sentence is option E, as it straightaway moves to the point in minimum words that 'We will start selling your items in our store next Tuesday' without including any unnecessary words that propose a strong impact. Thus, option E is the correct answer.

iren [92.7K]
1) B. Greeting yourself is a paradoxical image. One greets others. 2) C. In "Love on Love" the writer uses paradox to support the theme of healing the wounds from a broken heart. After all, you are alone in this poem. The author is asking you to, paradoxically again, "give back your heart". This, like the earlier greeting, means you will be giving your heart back to yourself; presumably because you gave it to someone else before.
