Contrast the location of genetic material in bacterial cells to its location in plant and animal cells

In animal and plant cells genetic information if contained within a nucleus, in bacterial cells there is no nucleus and so the genetic information is found within the cytoplasm of the cell but is not 'contained' in a more specific area. A small amount of DNA in the bacterial cell may be contained in an area of the bacteria called a plasmid, however not all bacterial cells have a plasmid.

what happens when the solar radiation reflected off the earth collides with a carbon dioxide molecule?
Alex Ar [27]

Answer:

The greenhouse effect:

The process in which gases in the atmosphere trap heat from the sun and warm the Earth. is the natural warming of the Earth’s atmosphere Solar radiation enters the atmosphere mainly as light and some of that radiation is absorbed by the Earth’s surface then changed to heat that is reradiated into the atmosphere where it is absorbed by greenhouse gases then reradiated back to Earth again

"If Jennifer wants to reduce the risk of having a baby with a birth defect caused by an environmental substance like drugs or al
Liula [17]

Answer:

Jennifer should understand that exposure to teratogens can cause the most damage during exposures such as the duration of exposure, the amount of teratogenic substance, and the stage of development the embryo or fetus is in during the exposure.

Explanation:

Teratogens may affect the embryo or fetus in a number of ways, causing physical malformations, problems in the behavioral or emotional development of the child, and decreased intellectual quotient (IQ) in the child. Additionally, teratogens may also affect pregnancies and cause complications such as preterm labors, spontaneous abortions, or miscarriages. Teratogens are classified into four types: physical agents, metabolic conditions, infection, and finally, drugs and chemicals.

Suppose a point mutation, such as a change from an adenine to a guanine, occurs in the genome of a human sperm cell. The mutatio
yulyashka [42]

Answer:

B. The mutation results in a new, dominant allele

C. The mutation occurs in a gene that controls development and alters differentiation of a cell type during development.

D. The mutation occurs in a codon and alters the function of the final protein

Explanation:

All the above things will change the ultimate expression or phenotype by altering the proteins. Choices B, C, and D will all change the outer functioning.

Choice A only affects the rate of transcription, so it may go faster or slower, but the end product will be the same.

This part that doesn't look like it's one of the choices ("The mutation occurs in a portion of an intron not responsible for exon splicing.") would not affect phenotype, because introns are removed before the RNA is sent out.

Choice E says that the amino acid sequence is unchanged, meaning the protein final product will be the same and the expression will not change.

Which lung sound possesses the characteristics of being louder and higher in pitch, with a short silence between inspiration and
andreyandreev [35.5K]

Answer:

C. Bronchial

Explanation:

The different types of lung sounds, also known as breath sounds differ from each other with respect to their location, pitch, relative duration, and intensity.

The bronchial breath sounds are heard just above the clavicle on either side of sternum bone and are characterized by loud amplitude, harsh quality, and high pitch. The bronchial breath sounds are hollow tubular.

The bronchial breath sounds have a short period of silence between the inspiratory and expiratory sounds. The expiratory bronchial sounds last longer than the inspiratory bronchial sounds (I<E).
