<h3>Answer: C) right skewed</h3>

If you have outliers far to the right of a batch of values, then those outliers will pull on the right tail of the distribution to make it right skewed (aka positively skewed). These outliers will increase the arithmetic mean to make it larger than it should be.

For example, let's say we had the set of values {1,2,3,4} all of which are clustered together fairly close. The mean is 2.5. Then lets add in the number 55 to get {1,2,3,4,55}. The 55 will increase the mean to 13 which is nowhere near any of the original {1,2,3,4} values.

kkurt [141]
Distributive property means that we can take factor in from of parenthesis.
2l+2w=2(l+w)
The number is not changed, because factor can be easily multiplied by every argument in front of parenthesis.

One of the diagonals of a rhombus of perimeter 120m is 36m. Find its area and the length of the other diagonal. pls answer fastt
mash [69]

Answer: 864\ m^2,\ 24\ m

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Perimeter of the rhombus is 120\ m

Length of one of the diagonal is d_1=36\ m

All the sides of the rhombus are equal

\Rightarrow 4a=120\\\Rightarrow a=30\ m

Area of the rhombus with side and one diagonal is

\Rightarrow \text{Area=}\dfrac{1}{2}d\sqrt{4a^2-d^2}

Insert the values

\Rightarrow \text{Area=}\dfrac{1}{2}\times 36\times \sqrt{4\cdot 30^2-36^2}\\\\\Rightarrow \text{Area= }18\sqrt{3600-1296}\\\Rightarrow \text{Area= }18\times 48\\\Rightarrow \text{Area= }864\ m^2

Area with two diagonals length can be given by

\Rightarrow \text{Area =}0.5\times d_1\times d_2 \\\text{Insert the values}\\\Rightarrow 864=36\times d_2\\\Rightarrow d_2=24\ m

Thus, the area of the rhombus is 864\ m^2 and the length of the other diagonal is 24\ m

Is the standard deviation of the sample a good estimate of the variation of salaries of tv personalities in general?
PolarNik [594]

The correct answer to this would be:

“No, because the sample is not representative of the whole population.”

Since the <span>sample values are the 10 highest annual salaries of TV personalities, they give almost no information about the salaries of TV personalities as a whole or in general. </span>
