Did Japan surrender after the first bombing in WW2? I heard this somewhere, and I can't remember where I did, but I heard that a

fter the first bombing the Japanese had sent their conditional surrender to America through Russia. However, Stalin got ahold of the surrender and kept it a secret because he wanted to join the war and fight Japan. Hence the declaration on Japan and invasion of Japanese controlled Manchuria alongside Chinese troops after the battle in Europe ended. I heard this story somewhere and I cannot remember where or if it's valid. If someone could confirm my suspicion I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

Sixteen hours later, American President Harry S.
