Puritan Literature usually consists of poetry and prose that are based on biblical references and the glorification of the almighty God. This literature is created with an intention to educate people who would receive the mercy of God(Salvation) and be saved by him and they would produce well-educated puritan culture in the New World. Puritan literature relied on religious teachings by offering a biblical point of view illustrating "the man as a sinner by birth" and the significance of the Bible and God in their life. Thus, this was intended to educate those who would receive Salvation as they believed it to be pre-determined.
