Karl's dog Buddy eats 24 ounces of dog food a day. Karl feeds him both canned and dry food, in any combination. Karl has 35 poun
Tatiana [17]

Answer:

25 days

Explanation:

Since we're given our measurements in different unit, first thing we do and the most important thing, is to convert the unites of measurement to the same unit. We can decide to use either ounce, or use pound. It's left to us. But in solving this, I will be using my unit as ounce, so, I will convert the pounds to ounce.

1 pound of measurement = 16 ounces of measurement

This means that,

35 pounds of measurement = 16 * 35 ounces of measurement

35 pounds of measurement = 560 ounces of measurement.

Now, with regards to the canned dog food. It says 0.5 case, assuming that there are 80 ounces in one case of a canned food, then in 0.5 case, there will be 0.5 * 80 = 40 ounces

From the dry dog food, we have 560 ounces

From the canned dog food, we have 40 ounces.

Adding both together, we have 560 + 40 = 600 ounces.

We're told that the dog eats 24 ounces on any given day, si

609 / 24 = 25

The food would last the dog for 25 days.
