George didnt run away after chapter 5 because he knew that curly would not stop looking for them ever. Instead of being accused of ra*e it was murder. A bigger crime to most. Also George may have realized that he could never have the dream he wanted, of his own farm, if he was always on the run because of lennie. Especially since you cant take up a farm and run away.

I hope this helps, I read the book about a year ago, so my mind isnt the freshest

The advice I would give myself or a good friend going into next year would be to stay focused and keep track of assignments. This year I’ve struggled a little with getting assignments on time because I haven’t been too focused. It would make it easier next year if I tried harder to focus. If I try harder and focus harder, I could get even better grades than normal and I can get work done more efficiently. It’s not very easy to focus, but I will definitely try next year.
