Please help find the percent of increase?!

Mathematics

First, work out the difference(increase) between the two numbers you are comparing. So, the difference would be <em>100-80</em>, which will equal <em>20</em>.

Then, divide the increase by the original number and multiply the answer by 100. So, that would be <em>20÷100</em>, which would be <em>0.2</em>, then it would be <em>0.2⋅100</em>, so back to <em>20</em>.

The percent of increase should be 20.

Rewrite the equation below so that it does not have fractions.
lidiya [134]

Answer:

\frac{15}{20} x-2=\frac{8}{20}

Step-by-step explanation:

\frac{3}{4} x-2=\frac{2}{5}

3/4 and 2/5 have a common denominator which is twenty so you can rewrite the equation with just knowing that

\frac{3}{4} =\frac{15}{20}

\frac{2}{5} =\frac{8}{20}

\frac{15}{20} x-2=\frac{8}{20}

You can then multiply both sides by twenty to solve this equation.

Hope this helps.

Oxana [17]

Answer: (3, 5)

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

y = x + 2 is already in Slope-Intercept format

  • b = 2: Plot +2 on the y-axis
  • m = 1: Count up 1 and right 1 from "b" to plot the next point

y = -x + 8 is already in Slope-Intercept format

  • b = 8: Plot +8 on the y-axis
  • m = -1: Count down 1 and right 1 from "b" to plot the next point

Sophia manages a landfill. She decides to measure the rate at which trash increases in volume to fill the landfill as the number
goblinko [34]

Answer:

\frac{m^3}{h}, \frac{cm^3}{h},  \frac{km^3}{h}

Step-by-step explanation:

If you look at the objects thrown as garbage, it's a two- or three-dimensional item that takes up space and also has mass and this is a solid waste.

And the landfill that dumps such garbage is also three-dimensional.

Hence, the volume module, if the object inside is a solid, either would be

m^3,cm^4,Km^3

As household numbers rise, landfill space increases.

So,

household\ number = Proportionality\times  landfill\ space

If H represents the number of household keeps,  then it will be a sufficient unit for the purpose of Sophia that is

\frac{m^3}{h}, \frac{cm^3}{h},  \frac{km^3}{h}
