Examine the evidence--a thesis should be written after looking at the evidence and determining how an argument can be constructed using the evidence provided.

A thesis should contain an answer to the question or prompt and then 2-3 reasons why (these are the claims of the thesis). The thesis is then supported or proven with evidence.

Why are maps less accurate at showing earths surface than globe
Nesterboy [21]

Answer:

The maps are the 2 dimensional representation of the earth's surface. This maps are often used to show the earth's surface. But in order to do so, there occurs distortion while projecting on a map. Some of the properties of the map that gets distorted are as follows-

(1) Distance

(2) Direction

(3) Shape

(4) Area

These distortion occurs because earth is spherical in shape. So, while projecting it gets distorted in the polar and the equatorial region mostly, as the pole appears to be larger in size and shape. The direction is also affected.

Due to this reasons, the maps are not so accurate in showing the earths surface, in comparison to a globe.

Which factor played the largest role in the decline of the Byzantine Empire?
Veseljchak [2.6K]

Answer: the recurrent debilitating civil wars.

Explanation: The Byzantine Empire when created when the Roman empire splitted into the Eastern Roman Empire and the Western Roman Empire.

The Eastern Roman Empire (Byzantine Empire) survived a thousand years after the collapse of the Western Roman Empire.

Constantinople which happens to be the capital of the Byzantine Empire was the most wealthiest, the Empire's territory extended through Eastern and Western Europe.

Recurrent civil wars played the largest role in the decline of the Byzantine Empire. After each civil war, a part or territory is lost and could not be fully recoverd until the next civil war which will lead to lost of even more territories. This greatly caused the Byzantine power and influence to decline drastically which was never fully reversed before the final collapse.
