Personally I would go with A, you don't need to brainstorm since you aren't CREATING information but instead just recalling events. Putting them into order would require outlining.

C. You would brainstorm and list things so you have an idea of which childhood event you would write about. After you have chosen a topic then you'd generate a thesis then create an outline.
