Historians use literary sources and archaeological excavations to prove their answer

In literary sources manuscript and inscription

Manuscripts are written by hand the word manuscripts come from Latin word manu which means hand manuscripts are perishable the leftover manuscripts are preserved in temples and monasteries


Inscriptions are written on hard surfaces they are imperishable so that’s a positive thing about them


Other literary sources are books vedas songs hymns etc
