The type of audience that would appeal to is an audience that knows about the topic your are researching or writing about. For example if i was writing an essay on chemicals for my chemistry class, it would be best for me to use facts and statistics. Also for argumentative essays, all things listed should be used. Writing or doing any type of research is better when using everything being listed, otherwise it sounds unprofessional.
