Light bulbs usually cost $2. They are on sale for 0.50 of the regular price. What is the slae price? is this a better price than if the sale price were 0.35 of the regular price?

50% off of $2 is $1 

getting 50% of the regular price is better than 35% off because 50% takes half of the price off & 35% takes less than 50% off of 2, so the sale value of the 35% off would be more.
