An intrinsic reward is personal to the person who is engaged in a particular activity. For instance, in the scenario given above, the intrinsic reward is the satisfaction and the fulfillment which Casey feels. An extrinsic reward is a type of reward that is given to one by an higher authority as a result of good performance. <span />
