You got this homie. You set g(x)=0. Then set the smaller x equation (x-2) equal to 0 and solve. X-2=0 ——> add two to both sides x=2. Do the same for the other.

the ratio of men and women in a certain factory is 3 to 4. there are 198 men. How many workers are there?
LUCKY_DIMON [66]

3 men

4 women

7 total

3 men/ 7 total = 198 men/ x total

using cross products

3*x = 7 * 198

divide each side by 3

x = 7*198/3

x = 462

There are 462 workers

If you mean 3 men and 1 women for a total of 4 workers when you state a ratio of men and women in a certain factory is 3 to 4.

3/4 =198/x

Using cross products

3x = 4* 198

Divide each side by 3

3x/3 = 4*198/3

x =264

264 workers

It all depends on how you define ratio of men and women in a certain factory is 3 to 4. This is incorrect phrasing and I took it to be men to women. You cannot have a ratio of men and women.

What is the slope of the line represented by the table below?
gayaneshka [121]
9/5

If you choose two points you can find the equation change in y/change in x (y2-y1)/(x2-x1). Using the first two points this looks like:

(49-22)/(25-10)=27/15=9/5

A voice grade modem has a maximum data rate of 14,400 bps. What would be the maximum data rate of that modem if the number of po
max2010maxim [7]

The maximum data rate of that modem is doubled if the number of points in its constellation were doubled

According to statement

Modem has a data rate is 14,400 bps

we know that the data rate can be calculated by T=A/S

If a is Doubled then the data rate is also doubled.

Because A is directly proportional to the T and S is inversely proportional to T.

So, The maximum data rate of that modem is doubled if the number of points in its constellation were doubled

Tina has 1/2 of a pan of cornbread left from a dinner party. She eats 1/2 of the leftover part the next night. How much of the w
likoan [24]

Answer:

Tina ate 3/4 of the whole pan of cornbread.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the amount of cornbread in the initial pan be x.

After the dinner party, Tina has 1/2 of x left; That is 1/2x

If she eats 1/2 of the leftover, that will be 1/2 of 1/2x that is eaten. This will be 1/4x that is eaten.

To find the potion of the whole pan that Tina ate, we will add the potion she ate during the party to the portion of the leftover she ate the next night.

That will be 1/2x + 1/4x =3/4x

Therefore, Tina ate 3/4 of the whole pan of cornbread.
