Answer:

see explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation of a line in point- slope form is

y - b = m(x - a)

where m is the slope and (a, b) a point on the line

Calculate m using the slope formula

m = (y₂ - y₁ ) / (x₂ - x₁ )

with (x₁, y₁ ) = (3, - 2) and (x₂, y₂ ) = (6, 2)

m = \frac{2+2}{6-3} = \frac{4}{3}

Use either of the 2 points as the point on the line

Using (a, b) = (6, 2), then

y - 2 = \frac{4}{3}(x - 6) ← in point- slope form

The equation of a line in standard form is

Ax + By = C ( A is a positive integer and B, C are integers )

Multiply both sides of the point- slope equation by 3

3y - 6 = 4(x - 6) ← distribute

3y - 6 = 4x - 24 ( subtract 3y from both sides )

- 6 = 4x - 3y - 24 ( add 24 to both sides )

18 = 4x - 3y, that is

4x - 3y = 18 ← in standard form

Answer:

(y - -2) (6 - 3) - (2 - -2) (x - 3) = 0

6y + 2 - 3y - 6 -2x +6 +2x +6 = 0

3y +8 =0

3y = -8

y = -8/3

What’s the slope intercept form of (2,5) and (0,1)
Travka [436]

Answer:

y=2x+1

Step-by-step explanation:

First you have to find the slope:

5-1/2 so 4/2 or 2

Then you write it in point-slope: (I used the point (0,1))

y-1=2x

Simplify than:

y=2x+1

Isabella ran the 100-meter dash five times. The time it took her to complete each race, in seconds, was 12.7, 12.807, 12.78, 12.
Stells [14]

Given:

Number of 100-meter races = 5

The time it took Isabella to complete each race, in seconds, was 12.7, 12.807, 12.78, 12.08, and 12.087.

To find:

The decimals in order from greatest to least.

Solution:

The time it took Isabella to complete each race, in seconds, was shown below:

12.7, 12.807, 12.78, 12.08, 12.087

We need to arrange this data in descending order.

In all 5 numbers the digits before decimals are same. On comparing the digits on the tenth place and hundredth place, we get

12.807 > 12.78 > 12.7 > 12.087 > 12. 08

Therefore, the required order of given data is 12.807, 12.78, 12.7, 12.087, 12. 08.

In the expression (x+y)^8, if x=0.3 and y=0.7 , what is the numerical value of the third term?
DanielleElmas [232]

Answer:

 0.01000188

Step-by-step explanation:

The third term is ...

 8C2·x^6·y^2 = 28 x^6 y^2

Putting in the given values for x and y, we get ...

 28·3^6·7^2·10^-8 = 1000188×10^-8 = 0.01000188

_____

8C2 = 8!/(2!·(8-2)!) = 8·7/(2·1) = 28

I need help! Please help me! :(
sergey [27]

Let's go one by one.

A: The distribution is, in fact, symmetric. I know this because if I were to draw a straight line, or hold up a mirror to the screen, both sides would match.

B: B is not true because there is only student who is the maximum age of 16, as compared to the majority of students who are 14.

C: Let's write down the data:

12, 13, 13, 14, 14, 14, 14, 14, 14, 15, 15, 16

If we add all these up, we get 168. We then should divide by 12, the amount of data samples, which gives us 14.

The mean is 14.

Automatically, I see that the center is filled with 14. Even though there are 12 total data pieces, we will not need to find the middle of two of the numbers-because 14 and 14 are the same number.

The median is 14.

Because the mean and median are both 14, we can conclude that C is true.

D: Because the mode (or most common number) would also be 14, we can conclude instantly that the 14 we got from the mean and median is the best representation of students in the play. D is also true. As far as the best measure of center goes, I usually prefer the mean, but it is almost entirely situational.

1. Mean (The average is almost always reliable)

Non-example: (4,4,4,4,4,4,4,4,4,4,307) It is clear there is an outlier here, which could affect the data more than it needs to-therefore this is a non-example.

Please let me know if this was helpful, or if you have any questions! If you are able, I'd be grateful to receive a rating!

The questions is in the picture
svet-max [94.6K]

Answer:

x = 308 feet

Step-by-step explanation:

tan = opp/adj

tan72 = x/100

multiply both sides by 100

100 * tan72 = x

Use calculator

x = 307.76835371752534

Rounded

x = 308 feet
