The whole string was 2.4m. If you take 1/3 of 1/2x, you are just taking 1/6x. You know that what remains is 2m, and that it's the remaining 5/6. So you divide 2 by 5 and multiply that by six to get 2.4.

15. x=0 and y=−2

Step-by-step explanation:

I just solved them by solving the top part first then the bottom part, I can not put in the actual steps because it takes up way to much space

kali run 10 laps around a track each day. each lap around the track is 400 meter. how many days will it takes kali to run a tota
andrew11 [14]
First, find her rate for the day. Since she runs 10 laps a day, multiply.

400 times 10= 4000

Next, I'll convert kilometers into meters;
12 times 1000=12,000

Divide to find the days:
12,000/4,000=3
It will take 3 days to run a total of 12 kilometers.

sveticcg [70]
Answer: The multiplication factor of increase should be inverse of the multiplication factor of decrease.

e.g. Say you have a number 100. You increase it by 25%. The multiplication factor is 5/4 i.e. when you multiply 100 by 5/4, you get 100*5/4 = 125. This is 25% more than 100. Now you want to decrease it by a certain % such that you get 100 back. Basically, 100*5/4 * x = 100 So x = 4/5 (inverse of 5/4) Hence, you decrease by 20% (the multiplication factor of 20% is 4/5) or Use this formula: cumulative % change = a + b + ab/100 You want the cumulative change to be 0. a + b + ab/100 = 0 If you know that you are increasing by 25% and want to find the % by which you should decrease to get the same number, 25 + b + 25b/100 = 0 5b/4 = -25 b = -20 So you need to decrease (hence you get the -ve sign) by 20%.

Brian works at the oil factory. He gets a $45 per day. He gets a 10% pay increase. He wirks 24 days in a month. How much more mo
Artist 52 [7]

Answer:

Net increment = $108

Step-by-step explanation:

Current wage rate for Brian = $45 per day

number of days Brain is working = 24

Total earning in a month = $45 x 24 = $ 1080

Total increment = 10% of $45

= 0.10 x $45 = $4.5

New wage rate for Brain = $45=$4.5= $49.5

No. of working days = 24

New earning per month = $49.4 x 24 = $1188

Total increment in the earning = $1188- $ 1080

= $108
