arsen [322]

Inner core  was found to be solid after observing the motion of P waves.

Explanation:

Seismologist Inge Lehmann, studied the seismic waves of an earthquake and discovered about inner core in the mantle layer of Earth. She States that there is a boundary of discontinuity between the outer and inner core of Earth.

She studied the travel of secondary and primary waves during an earthquake and how it flows at different shells of Earth's layer which helped her in finding about the inner core of mantle. She observed that the inner core is a solid layer inside the molten layer of outer core

Why is the existence of vestigial structures significant to the study of evolution?
Illusion [34]
it's kinda really complex you have animals like snakes evolution says they used to have legs how can this be proven? This is proven by vestigial structures as some snakes like certain pythons still have legs however, they are underdeveloped and are used for nothing. Whales have pelvis bones this may not seems special but it is because every chordate that has ever walked on land has one thing in common and that's a pelvis this along with other data gathered really concrete the idea of evolution into reality

Sidana [21]

Answer:

Salmon populations in the United States is declining due to the following factors:

1. Over-fishing and human activities have put a major influence on the population of salmon.

2. Due to industrialization, urban growth, unplanned farming, deforestation, and pollution would have imparted strains on the stocks of salmon. Apart from this chemical contamination from the industrial run-off and agricultural activities are also declining populations of salmon.

3. Genetically modified fish from hatcheries usually escape and interbreed with wild fish, thus, changing the genetic features of the populations.

4. Construction of hydropower dams is also a major cause of the salmon population declining.
