The answer is 9.75 the steps are....
first simplify both sides so...
<span><span>−<span>1.6<span>(<span><span>2c</span>+12</span>)</span></span></span>=12</span><span><span><span><span>(<span>−1.6</span>)</span><span>(<span>2c</span>)</span></span>+<span><span>(<span>−1.6</span>)</span><span>(12)</span></span></span>=12</span>(Distribute)<span><span><span><span>−<span>3.2c</span></span>+</span>−19.2</span>=12</span><span><span><span>−<span>3.2c</span></span>−19.2</span>=<span>12
then add 19.2 to both sides because your trying to get the c by itself..
</span></span><span><span><span><span>−<span>3.2c</span></span>−19.2</span>+19.2</span>=<span>12+19.2</span></span><span><span>−<span>3.2c</span></span>=<span>31.2
and then finally divides both sides by -3.2 so that c will be by itself
AND THEN..you get 9.75</span></span>

You purchase a car in 2010 for $25,000. The value of the car decreases by 14% annually. What would the value of the car be in 20
Fed [463]

Answer: -$6,500

Step-by-step explanation:

Here we could , use the arithmetic progression where

T(2020 - 2010) = a + ( n - 1 )d

T10 = a + ( 10 - 1 )d --------------- 1

a = $25,000, n = 10 and d = 14% of $25,000 = $3,500 the common difference.

Note since it decreases the common difference d = -$3,500.

Now substitute for the values in the equation above.

T10 = 25,000 + 9 x -3,500

= $25,000 - $31,500

= -$6,500 (deficit )

If you pay for $25.00 for purchase which includes 11% sales tax. how much is the sales tax?
Delvig [45]
Since it includes 11% sales tax, this means that (purchase)+11% of (purchase)=25.00. Since 11% = 0.11 by multiplying it by 1/100, we have 1*purchase+0.11*purchase=1.11*purchase=25.00. Dividing both sides by 1.11, we get around 22.73 as the original purchase. This means that the difference between the purchase price and the total price is the sales tax, which is around 2.27 dollars.
