Pretend that you are a surgeon at a local hospital. Seven patients need a heart transplant but there is only one heart donor at

this time. All of the patients are eligible to receive this heart. All patients are physically able and all have compatible tissue and blood typing. From the list below, you will need to choose which patient should receive the heart. Patient Waiting List • 31-year-old male; dentist at the height of his career; married but no children • 12-year-old female; accomplished violinist; blind • 40-year-old male; teacher; married with 2 children • 15-year-old female; unmarried, 6 months pregnant • 35-year-old male; Roman Catholic priest • 17-year-old female; waitress; high school dropout; supports/cares for a brother who is severely disabled • 38-year-old female; pharmacy technician; engaged to be married next year. When we make ethical decisions (like the one above) they are shaped by our values, past experiences, and our attitudes about life, people, and ethics. Please reflect carefully and give a thoughtful response to the next three (3) questions. Your answers should reflect how your life experiences, values and attitudes have shaped your decision. 12. "How do your close friends see you? In a positive light? Partially positive? Either way...explain why."
ch4aika [34]

My friends see me in a partially positive light, I guess you can say that out of the team I am the most mature. My friends aren't what you call honest or good friends, they are actually the exact opposite. I keep my distance and so do they. The reason why is because some time we have had some problems we didn't work out so now we all go our separate ways while still calling each other friends. We keep distance, but that doesn't mean we are cats to each other. We treat each other neutral.

Read the passage from "On Seeing the Elgin Marbles." My spirit is too weak—mortality Weighs heavily on me like unwilling sleep,
Julli [10]

Answer:

Both passages deal with the same theme of the inevitability of death.

Explanation:

Both of the passages share the same theme of the inevitability of death.

"On Seeing the Elgin Stone", John Keats asserts the mortality of man and that death is something man or in any case, anyone can avoid. Likewise, William Wordsworth also emphasizes the inevitability of death in his poem "Ode on Intimations of Immortality from Recollections of Early Childhood". Both poets from the same Romantic period describes how things will all meet their end, even things that are believed to be immortal will eventually fade away.
