Hey c: I also get nervous for anything related to presenting, haha.

Are the topics randomly given to you, or are you able to choose one? If you're able to choose, I would definitely pick something you're interested in already, ahead of time, and maybe even do some quick internet research about it.

Otherwise,

- If you have to stand in front of people and look at them, a good tip for seeming like you're making eye contact is to not look at their face but instead to fixate on a point a bit above their head. You won't have to make eye contact, and they can't tell the difference.

-If you fidget when you're nervous, do it with an object behind your back so people won't see it.

We did this at the beginning of this year lolol. But as long as you get to pick the topic you should be fine, because then you have full control about what you are speaking about so you should choose something you are very familiar with. Other than that just make sure everyone can hear you, remember to stay on topic, and don’t fidget or look down a lot.

Citing a source can help you to do what?
Umnica [9.8K]

To show you've done research on the subject, and it can also make it so if you copy and pasted it can show you didn't commit plagiarism.

Example: Why citing is important

It's important to cite sources you used in your research for several reasons: To show your reader you've done proper research by listing sources you used to get your information. To be a responsible scholar by giving credit to other researchers and acknowledging their ideas.Nov 13, 2019
