25% will have black bodies. 50% will be heterozygous. Basically the only way you could have black is if it was recessive and both of the parents were heterozygous, Gg. Grey is dominant, with GG and Gg both producing grey. Black is recessive and will ony occurs with the genotype gg. 25% of 280 is 70, so 70 will be gg, homozygous black. 50% will be Gg, heterozygous grey, which would be 140. The last 70 will be the last 25%, and they will be GG, homozygous grey. So overall 70 will be black and 210 will be grey :)

In the lab, you use a special balloon that is permeable to water but not sucrose to make an "artificial cell." The balloon is fi
WARRIOR [948]

Answer:

The correct answer is B. water will leave the balloon.

Explanation:

As the sucrose concentration is higher in the solution, the water in the balloon, where the sucrose is less concentrated, will tend to leave and try to dilute the outer solution until both sucrose concentrations are equal. But as the water leaves the balloon, the concentration inside will increase, so it will flow outside until both concentrations are equal and not until the outer concentration is similar to the initial concentration in the balloon.

Evgesh-ka [11]

Answer:

If a single base in the sequence is missing, this mutation could affect and disturb the whole frame-shift of protein synthesis

Explanation:

A single base missing or deletion will result in DNA mutation and will cause changes in the translated protein which will alter the function of the protein and sometimes the translated protein product is non functional.

What is the most likely effect a decrease of plant life in the biosphere would have on the atmosphere?
serious [3.7K]
Plant life, especially the trees in the Rain forest absorb the carbon dioxide and produce oxygen so without them, there would be much more carbon dioxide.

In fact we believe that the oxygen in our atmosphere has origin in plant life! Specifically ocean plants.
