There are many Enlightenment thinkers who influenced the US government:
1. John Locke has the idea where governments should protect people’s natural rights, the idea where everyone is born with equal rights, and private property. He influenced the Declaration of Independence
2. Montesquieu had the idea where government powers should be divided between groups. He influenced the idea of the three branches.
3. Thomas Hobbes has the idea that all men are wild and a government is needed to keep them in control and alive. He influenced the Constitution
4. Rousseau had the idea where all government power should go to its people. This influenced ideas of a democratic government.

Describe the route of the given voyage in the 1400 to 1650
Artist 52 [7]

Answer:

Pictures of bizarre looking people with umbrella feet, faces in their stomachs, and dogs' heads illustrated books about lands to the East. There was the legendary Christian king, Prester John with an army of a million men and a mirror that would show him any place in his realm

What were abolitionist risking by speaking out and fighting for emancipation of slaves ?
trasher [3.6K]
Not sure what you're looking for exactly, but they were certainly risking their lives and livelihoods. African-Americans weren't the only people to be lynched in the fight against racism- black and white abolitionists were at risk as well (though certainly whites to a lesser degree).
