There are images that are symbolic, canopy roads are one of them. Tourists travel to visit those sights. There are nine official canopy roads in Tallahassee, creating 78 miles of intriguing shaded drives.

She should choose the best policy to follow and inform the city of her decision.

In Tallahassee there is even a comission that is in charge of the preservation of the canopy roads; to assist in coordinating efforts to protect, maintain, enhance and re-evaluate these roads.

She should express her concerns to the commitee and together they can reach an agreement on to prune some trees that endanger the drivers as they pass by and at the same time, preserve the historical road and its beauties.

I.M. Pei is diverse in his talents for designing buildings. Which details from the text BEST support this inference? Select TWO
Ne4ueva [31]

Answer:

C. The first significant project for Pei was the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Colorado. From there, he designed the East Building of the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C.

D. He designed the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio, and the somber Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C. In addition, he traveled to Qatar to design the Museum of Islamic Art and worked in Japan for the Miho Museum and China for the Suzhou Museum

Explanation:

All of the following options tell us about I.M. Pei's achievements. An important part of the original statement, though, is diverse in his talents. It means that Pei has created many different buildings. Statements C and D are the best proof of that. He has designed research centers, art galleries, halls of fame, museums. Statement A simply tells us about his importance, B about his personal life, and E about his awards.

Thus, the correct options are C and D.

Based on the passage, why is the narrator confused by the civilian's
surroundings?
Allisa [31]

The narrator is confused because it its unclear why does he live in a shabby home.

Explanation:

The civilian that the author is talking about in the passage had been retired from the service of the Hussars at a very young age of thirty five. Even though he settled in a wretched and a little village, still the life style he had was extravagant.

It was not clear to the people living in the surroundings that why was he living in such a shabby place. At his home, champagne flowed like water and the officers of high post of the regiment used to come for dinner. Even after this, he always used to be dressed shabbily so it was very confusing for the people living in the surroundings.
