Answer:

Function's formula : c = 150-8s

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given that He takes 8 pieces of candy from the bag each time he snacks.

We are also given that he ate 18 snacks .

So, candies he ate in 18 snacks = 18* 8 = 144 candies

Since we are also given that after eating 18 snacks , 6 candies are remaining .

So, total no. of candies initially = 144+6 =150

Now, let The number of pieces of candy remaining in the bag be 'c'  is a function of  the number of snacks Tyrone eats i.e. 's'

Since we are given that in each snack he takes 8 pieces of candies ,

So, in s snacks , candies will be eaten by him = 8s

Total no. of candies = 150

So, remaining candies 'c' = 150 -8s

Function's formula : c = 150-8s

Darina [25.2K]
By subtracting 25 from both sides, you get: AB+CD-25=0 by subtracting CD from both sides, you get; AB=25-CD by subtracting AB from both sides, you get: CD=-AB+25

Solve for x 2x +3y = Q
Marianna [84]

Hello! :)

2x + 3y + −3y = q + −3y Add -3y to both sides

2x = q − 3y

2x/2 = q-3y/2 Divide both sides by 2

x = 1/2q + -3/2 y (ANSWER)

Hope this helped you

Triangle FGH, with vertices F(2,-8), G(7,-7), and H(6,-4), is drawn inside a rectangle, as shown below.
Semmy [17]

The area of the triangle FGH is 13√10 unit²

Given,

The vertices;

F(2, -8), G(7, -7), H(6, -4)

We have to find the area of the triangle.

Area of triangle = 1/2bh²

Here,

Area of triangle FGH = 1/2 (GH) (FG)²

Now,

Length of FG = \sqrt{(7-2)^{2} =(-8--7)^{2} }  = \sqrt{5^{2}+1^{2}  }  = \sqrt{25+1} = √26

Length of GH = \sqrt{(-7--4)^{2}+(7-6)^{2}  } = \sqrt{-3^{2}-1^{2}  } = \sqrt{9+1} = √10

Then,

Area of triangle FGH = 1/2 (GH) (FG)²

Area of triangle FGH = 1/2 × √10 × √26²

Area of triangle FGH = 1/2 × √10 × 26

Area of triangle FGH = 13√10

Therefore,

The area of the triangle FGH is 13√10 unit²
