Chemical weathering and mechanical weathering can be influenced by plants. Plants contribute to mechanical weathering when their roots growth through cracks and crevasses in soil or rock. Overtime the roots will break rocks apart. Some plants produce and secrete organic acids that can change the chemical composition of rocks causing them to weather. Mechanical weathering breaks rocks into smaller pieces while chemical weathering changes the composition of the rocks.

grigory [225]

This question is about "The Mixer".

Answer:

The irony is established because Blackie was to help Shy Man steal the house.

Explanation:

As was said in the question above, irony is a literary resource that shows a situation totally contrary to what the reader was expecting. This feature is used to surprise the reader and make the story less cliché and predictable, but innovative and stimulating. In the case of "The Mixer", we see an example of irony when Blackie, who was supposed to help Shy Man to steal a house, ends up disturbing and putting the whole plan to waste.

, permafrost is ground, including rock or (cryonic) soil, at or below the freezing point of water 0 °C (32 °F) for two or more years. Most permafrost is located in high latitudes (in and around the Arctic and Antarctic regions), but at lower latitudes alpine permafrost occurs at higher elevations. Ground ice is not always present, as may be in the case of non-porous bedrock, but it frequently occurs and it may be in amounts exceeding the potential hydraulic saturation of the ground material.
