There are two types of deterrence: general and specific. General deterrence is punishment to an individual to stop the society as a whole from committing crimes. In other word, it is using the punishment as an example to “scare” society from precipitating in criminal acts.

Marina CMI [18]

Answer:

Explanation:

The question asks about the NEW global economy so the answer is not nations or states. NGOs have little decision-making power and supranational organizations do not exist; except for the United Nations.

So the correct answer is MOST financial decisions are made at the corporate level in global cities.

In which of the following scenarios is a resource likely to be degraded as a result of the "tragedy of the commons"?
Ganezh [65]

Answer:

D

Explanation:

To start with, I will like to define what "tragedy of commons" mean.

Tragedy of commons is a situation that happens in a shared-resource system. In this system, an individual acts on their own selfishly, negating the "common good" of the rest personnels, by using up, and even going ahead to spoil and tatter what they collectively share together.

From the above explanation, the scenario that most likely fits the description is that of D, An oil drilling company allows oil to seep into the oceans at an offshore rig.

Where the oil company allows oil to seep into the ocean, knowing that it would kill any form of life in the ocean that would be beneficial to the community that use the ocean for other purposes
