My friend had concluded that if he took his language and culture out of his poetry, he stood a better chance of receiving a fell
jeka57 [31]

Answer:

A). Each incorporates non-English words.

Explanation:

The structure of a text plays a key role in conveying the meaning to the readers. In both the given excerpts, the 'usage of non-English vocabulary' shows the way in which the structure/formation backs the idea of cultural and ethnic diversity.

In the first excerpt from 'Take the Tortillas out of your poetry,' the words like 'patois' and 'pachuco' adds a native and ethnic touch that promotes the idea of acceptance and admiration towards cultural diversity. While in the second excerpt from 'Speaking Arabic,' the regional words like 'Oompah' and 'Gorditas' also back the idea of cultural manifoldness. Thus, <u>option A</u> is the correct answer.

vodka [1.7K]

Katrina has 4 servings

<em><u>Solution:</u></em>

Katrina had 2/3 of a gallon of ice cream

She uses 1/6 gallon as a serving

Therefore,

Total\ gallon\ of\ icecream = \frac{2}{3}\\\\Gallon\ for\ 1\ serving= \frac{1}{6}

<em><u>To find: Number of servings can be mad</u></em><em><u>e</u></em>

Number\ of\ servings = \frac{\text{total gallon of icecream}}{\text{ galon for 1 serving}}

Substituting the values we get,

Number\ of\ servings = \frac{\frac{2}{3}}{\frac{1}{6}}\\\\Number\ of\ servings = \frac{2}{3} \times \frac{6}{1}\\\\Number\ of\ servings = 4

Thus Katrina has 4 servings
