The roots of a polynomial are the values that render the polynomial to zero
y=(x+4)(x-2)^2(x+7)
in the 1st parenthesis, x=-4 render the polynomial =0
in the 2nd parenthesis, x=2 render the polynomial =0
in the 3rd parenthesis, x=-7 render the polynomial =0
So there are 3 values as roots of this polynomial (answer C)

Sara has a circular fence around her dog house. Each day when she comes home from
larisa86 [58]

Answer:

226.2 feet

Step-by-step explanation:

The fence around the dog's house is a circle, with a radius of 12 meters.

To calculate the distance the dog runs, we need to find the circumference of that circle, which is given by the formula:

C = 2 π r, since we know r, the calculation is easy:

C = 2  π 12 = 24 π = 75.4 feet.

The dog makes three laps around the circle before calming down... so he runs 3 times 75.4 feet.

Dogs run = 3 x 75.4 ft = 226.2 feet

The surface area of the three-dimensional figure is square centimeters?
Zina [86]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Alright, lets get started.

The surface area of the figure given is : The area of all shapes together

The figure has 2 similar triangles and 3 similar rectangles.

The area of 1 triangle =

\frac{1}{2}*base*height

The area of 1 triangle = \frac{1}{2}*10*8.66=43.3

So, the area of both triangles = 43.3*2=86.6

The area of 1 rectangle = width *length

The of 1 rectangle = 10*15=150

So, the area of all 3 rectangles = 3*150=450

So, total area of figure = 86.6+450=536.6

hence the surface area is 536.6 square centimeters : Answer

Hope it will help :)

Paha777 [63]

Answer:

4P+2G=96\\3P+1G=60 or 3P+G=60

Step-by-step explanation:

Given in the question:

a) A family paid $96 for 4 pool passes and 2 gym memberships.

b) Later that day, an individual bought pool passes for herself and 2 of her friends , and 1 gym membership for her . She paid $60.

Let's write the system of equation for each purchase that happened in the scenario.

Let,

P= Price of each pool passes

G= Price of each gym membership

We get,

a) A family paid $96 for 4 pool passes and 2 gym memberships:

4P+2G=96

b) Later that day, an individual bought pool passes for herself and 2 of her friends , and 1 gym membership for her . She paid $60:

3P+1G=60

Therefore, the equations generated in the scenario were:

4P+2G=96\\3P+1G=60 or 3P+G=60

Where,

P=Price of each pool passes

G=Price of each gym membership
