Do 120 seeds - 90 that have sprouted.

120-90= 30

30 divide by the total number of planted 120 seeds

30/120= 1/4

1/4 times 100 to get the percent

1/4*100

Cross out 4 and 100 , divide by 4 . 4/4= 1

100/4= 25

1/4=25 %

Answer: 25%

weqwewe [10]

Given:

A submarine dives below the surface, heading downward in 5 moves.

Each move downward = 200 feet

To find:

The location of submarine after it is finished diving.

Solution:

According to the question,

1 move downward = 200 feet

5 move downward = 5 × 200 feet

                               = 1000 feet

Since, the submarine heading downward in 5 moves, therefore the submarine is 1000 feet downward after it is finished diving.

Can you please help me translate the argument into symbolic form?
Alecsey [184]

Let p be: John goes to the beach

Let q be: He will go surfing.

Then in symbolic form, the argument becomes:

\begin{gathered} p\Rightarrow q \\ p \\ ----------- \\ \therefore q \end{gathered}

p ⇒ q

p

---------------------

∴ q

An argument is valid if the conjuction of the premises implies the conclusion.

p | q | p ⇒ q | (p ⇒ q) ∧ p | [(p ⇒ q) ∧ p] ⇒ q

---------------------------------------------------------------------\

F | F | T | F | T

F | T | T | F | T

T | F | F | F | T

T | T | T | T | T

The table above shows that the argument is a tautology.

Hence, the argument is valid
