The difference is - 63.

In order to find any difference, you must subtract the second term from the first. In this problem, it would look like this.

289 - 352
-63

Help with all of the math questions please I dont understand and there is more questions
Pie
21. Smith received 60% of the votes
       Murphy received 1/3 or 33%
      100% - (60% + 33%) = 100 - 93 = 7%......so where is the other 7% of the votes. The vote total should equal 100%

22. Food : 500/2000 reduces to 1/4......or 25%......or 0.25
      Rent : 1200/2000 reduces to 3/5....or 60% ...or 0.6
      Transportation : 300/2000 reduces to 3/20...or 15%..or 0.15

23. sum of the rows:
      Food + rent + trans = 1/4 + 3/5 + 3/20 = 5/20 + 12/20 + 3/20 = 20/20 = 1
      Food + rent + trans = 25% + 60% + 15% = 100%
      Food + rent + trans = 0.25 + 0.6 + 0.15 = 1
The sums should all equal because the percent, decimals, and fractions are all the same, just in a different form

24. 14.5% = 0.145 = 145/1000 = 29/200
       14.5 = 14.5 = 14 1/2 = 29/2
14.5% is less then 1
14.5 is greater then 1

Working together, edith and rupert can pick 3 quarts of blueberries in an hours.how many quarts can they pick in 7 hours?
expeople1 [14]
Since they pick 3 quarts in 1 hour they can pick 6 quarts in 2 hours and 9 quarts in 3 and so on. So the number of quarts they can pick in a certain amount of hours is just the total number of hours they spend picking times 3 quarts. So since they picked for 7 hours and each of those hours they picked 3 quarts, in total they picked 21 quarts

7 x 3 = 21 quarts
