So far Andrea and her partner have completed 75% of the 12-page essay, that means they still have to complete 25%.

What you have to do is find 25% of 12

The first thing you should do is turn 25% into a decimal and then multiply it by 12 and the final answer should equal the number of pages that Andrea and her partner have left to write.

So, 0.25*12=3       Therefore they have 3 pages left to write.

So if they wrote 25% of the 12 total pages in class that would leave 9 pages left to do.
25% of 12 = 9

Then if they wrote 50% of the remaining 9 pages that would give you 4.5
50% of 9 = 4.5

So then we would add up the two totals to get 7.5
4.5 + 3 = 7.5

Lastly, we would subtract 7.5 from 12 to get our remaining number of pages left to be written
12-7.5=4.5

Please help me solve the expression for “n”
Bingel [31]

Answer:

  n = 2

Step-by-step explanation:

In order for the ratio to have a value of 1, the sum of exponents in the numerator must equal the sum of exponents in the denominator:

  n + 7 = 9

  n = 9 -7 . . . . . . subtract 7 from both sides of the equation

  n = 2

___

Alternatively, you can simplify the given expression:

  \dfrac{9^n(9^7)}{9^9}=1=\dfrac{9^n}{9^2}

Hopefully, it is clear to you that the value of n must be 2 in order to make the numerator equal to the denominator.

Harman [31]

Answer:

Let's solve for x.

4x−2y=20

Step 1: Add 2y to both sides.

4x−2y+2y=20+2y

4x=2y+20

Step 2: Divide both sides by 4.

4x/4

=  2y+20/4

x=  1/2y+5

Answer: x=  1/2y+5
