Answer: Puritans had stronger beliefs in Baptism and communion..The Quaker's did not put emphasis to any sacraments because they believed that all acts are sacred if they are committed to god.  This was found on the internet and isn't my answer of my own, But I still wanted to answer your question. The democratic party was dominant in Texas because there were more lower seats than there were upper seats in the house. Since there were more lower seats the democratic party was more dominant because the more votes casts is what gets over ruled. They weren't very organized because they didn't have anything planned, and when it came to voting, they weren't sure what to do
