Answer: 20

Step-by-step explanation:

1) Put the numbers in order: 11,12,17,19,23,27,31

2) Find the sum: 140

3) Divde 140 by the total numbers: 18.769875523239

Range: 20

Largest Number: 31

Smallest Number: 11

Divide: 140/7  and get 20

So to find average, we add up the values, and divide it by how many values there are in total.

27 + 12 + 31 + 19 + 23 + 11 + 17 = 140.

There are 7 numbers. Which means we divide 140 by 7.

140 / 7 = 20 is the average.

Also, if you notice, most of the numbers "kind of" circulate around 20.

Simplify negative 5 minus the square root of negative 44 negative 5 minus 4 times the square root of 11 i negative 5 minus 4 i t
Anika [276]

Answer:

-5-\sqrt{-44}=-5-2\sqrt{11}i

Step-by-step explanation:

We want to simplify:

-5-\sqrt{-44}

We rewrite the expression under the radical sign to obtain:

-5-\sqrt{4\times11\times -1}

We split the expression under the radical sign to get:

-5-\sqrt{4} \times \sqrt{11} \times \sqrt{-1}

Recall that:

\sqrt{-1}=i

This implies that:

-5-\sqrt{4} \times \sqrt{11} \times \sqrt{-1}=-5-2\sqrt{11}i

Therefore -5-\sqrt{-44}=-5-2\sqrt{11}i

The ratio of chaperones to students on a field trip to New York City is 2 to 11. If there are 297 students on the trip, how many
Olenka [21]
297/11 = 27

So we have 27 groups of 11 students. If there are 2 chaperones for every 11 students, then we can do:

27x2=54

There are 54 chaperones on the field trip.

A recent survey found that 7575% of all adults over 50 wear glasses for driving. In a random sample of 4040 adults over 50, wh
malfutka [58]

Answer:

Mean = 30

standard Deviation = 2.74

Step-by-step explanation:

Formula

mean = np

Standard Deviation = \sqrt{npq}

from the question = 40

P = 75% or 0.75

q = 1 - p = 1 - 75% or 1 - 0.75

To find mean

mean = 40 x 0.75

           = 30

For Standard Deviation (SD)

Standard Deviation = \sqrt{npq}

       = \sqrt{40 X 0.75 X 0.25

      = \sqrt{7.5}

:. Standard  Deviation       = 2.74
