Answer:

The process of analyzing, describing, explanation of past events and their evaluation is called historical interpretation. The interpretation is based on primary and secondary sources.

Interpretation is important in history because Through interpretation they how they view past and they try to explain how and why things happened as they did and what particular elements in the past are important. According to a famous historian E.H Carr interpretation is the key to history writing.

Interpretations vary because they are written for different audiences, different historians can distort information to support their arguments stronger and historians views also keeps changing as they come across new evidences.

For example if you are discussing about Hitler and the rise of Nazi Germany, one student says that he rose to power because of his oratory skills and ability to manipulate political situations, this is well documented by historians. While another student says that the social and economic conditions of Germany brought him to power, these reasons are also well documented by the historians. The which student is right, it all depends on whom you ask. It shows the subjective nature of history.

Setler [38]

Answer:

Through hundreds of legal measures, the Nazi-led German government gradually excluded Jews from public life, the professions, and public education. The goal of Nazi propaganda was to demonize Jews and to create a climate of hostility and indifference toward their plight. On Kristallnacht—the Night of Broken Glass—Jewish businesses and synagogues were destroyed in the first act of state-sponsored violence against the Jewish community. Many Jews who had the means tried to leave Germany but encountered countless bureaucratic hurdles.
