Argue to show how Descartes dream argument philosophical basis for the illegality of instant justice
Snezhnost [94]

In most countries, particularly in democracies, there is a clear process through which people are able to access justice. When a crime is committed, we generally follow an established path to deal with it, which includes an arrest, a trial, and eventually a legal punishment. Because of these necessary steps, justice takes a while, and it is rarely instant. Some people believe this to be a problem, and argue that justice should be achieved instantly in order for it to be effective.

One of the problems of such approach is the fact that in order to achieve immediate justice, we need to be sure of the circumstances surrounding a criminal situation. Yet, we often have very little understanding of our reality, including the events that surround a criminal situation. Descartes argued that we cannot even rely on our senses fully, as our senses believe dreams to be real. As we cannot trust our knowledge of reality fully, we also cannot presume to know a situation without examining it. This flawed knowledge of reality makes us unable to access instant justice.

What was expected of women according the concept of separate spheres?
Black_prince [1.1K]

Answer:

Option B

Explanation:

Separate Spheres is a ideology that tries to explain the difference of gender labor, the idea that nature made sexes for different jobs. The main point of this ideology was that men should leave running the household to women, and women should leave running the world to men, leading to creating a distinct separation of jobs that were only for men, and this ideology says women are naturally unfit for economic competition or political citizenship because of their delicate nature. Women's "proper sphere", according to the ideology, is the private realm of domestic life, child-rearing, housekeeping, and religious education.

Why were Americans so driven to expand across the continent? Was it simple greed, or did they have a different reason? Provide a
Crank

Answer:

It was a mixture of greed and need.

Explanation:

The Americans believed that the expansion was a command from God to them and for that reason, they already had projects to expand in the most varied possible ways. However, there was a need to find more fertile and arable land where they could establish more productive agriculture, which would give the nation more profits. Agriculture in this case became a necessity and a form of ambition, since it could generate a lot of profit.
