The real reason for Mr. Johnson's withdrawal was Vietnam. It was an involvement he had questioned as a Senator and about which he brooded as President. There were too many casualties. In addition, Mr. Johnson had begun to doubt our ability to prosecute the war to any clear-cut victory.

Public opposition to the Vietnam War had made him unpopular.

President Johnson was a faithful adherent of the Vietnam War but as the opportunity for the polls in 1968 appeared the citizens started investigating the US engagement in the Vietnam War and was largely objected to it. President Johnson apprehended his beliefs turned him shunned and he understood he couldn't muster adequate support and thus did not contested for election again.

The correct answer is A lasting impact of more than 350 years

Explanation:

Slavery was a common practice in America during the colonization process as colonizers used slaves in crops, mines, etc. to obtain profit. It is estimated first African slaves were taken in the 16th century to the continent and this practice was legal in many territories for decades.

Moreover, slavery had a long-lasting impact that can be seen even today; this includes the fact African people had a great cultural influence on societies in all the continent, and even now this influence exists in areas such as art, music, politics, etc.; the practice of slavery triggered a need for civil rights and equality; and it caused social conflicts including wars such as the Civil War. Therefore, this practice had a lasting impact of more than 350 years or from its beginnings to nowadays.
