Answers:

 An example of an arc length could be running around a circular track. An arc is the distance along the outside of a circle. When people run around a circular track, they are running around an arc. You could calculate the distance of the arc to see how far someone ran.

An example of a sector area could be the area covered by a lawn sprinkler rotating around a fixed point. A sprinkler that moves around in a circle is spraying water in the shape of a sector of a circle.

Do I set the equation up like this and then multiply the 2 on everything?
dybincka [34]
No no need to  take out the 2
You can factor this by using the ac method

2x^2 + 3x - 5 = 0

multiplying the first and last coefficients 2 * -5 = -10
Now we want to get 2 factors of -10  which will give us  +3 when added:-
+5 and -2  seem ok so we write:-

2x^2 - 2x + 5x - 5 = 0

2x(x - 1) + 5 (x - 1) =0

(2x + 5)(x - 1) = 0

Solution is   x = -5/2  and x = 1

Find the distance between the two points. (round to the nearest hundredths)
4vir4ik [10]

Answer:

d = 5.10

Step-by-step explanation:

The distance between two points is given by

d = sqrt( ( y2-y1)^2 + ( x2-x1)^2 )  where ( x1,y1) and ( x2,y2) are the two points

d = sqrt( ( 5-6)^2 + (8-3)^2 )

d = sqrt( ( -1)^2 + (5)^2 )

d = sqrt(  1+25)

d = sqrt(26)

d = 5.099019514

Rounding to the nearest hundredth

d = 5.10

Help me with this math problem because I’m too lazy to do it thank you if you do answer
Lyrx [107]

Answer:

D. 30x + 120 ≤ 250

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we know that he bought one pair of shoes for $120 you would subtract 250-120=130 though you cant divide 130 into 30 so you would use ≤ so your answer is 30x + 120 ≤ 250

x= how many shirts he buys.
