Leukotrienes are part of a class of biologically active compounds that occur naturally in the white blood cells or the leukocytes. These compounds functions in the pathogenesis of inflammation. They trigger the contraction of the smooth muscles located in the bronchioles. Excess amounts of this substance is a cause of the inflammation during asthma and in allergic rhinitis.

Two fundamental types of cells are known to exist in nature: prokaryotic cells and eukaryotic cells (like the one shown in the t
Svetach [21]
Prokaryotes are identified with bacteria: most live as single-cell organisms but some bacteria associate in a chain. Prokaryotes have their DNA in the cytoplasm of the cell. Eukaryotes ("Eu" for true) have a nucleus, a compartment separated from the rest of the cellular content, which contains the DNA.
In both of eucaryotic an procaryotic cell, you can find DNA, all kinds of RNA, Cytoplasm, ribosomes, and a cell membrane,

In procaryotic cell only you can find: a cell wall (located outside the cell membrane), you may find also pili, capsids, plasmids, and flagella.

In a eucaryotic cell only, you can find Nucleus (which contain the DNA), mitochondria, endoplasmic reticulum,

A sexually reproducing animal has two unlinked genes (on separate chromosomes), one for head shape (H) and one for tail length (
Verizon [17]

Answer:

a) HT

Explanation:

This question shows an animal with two distinct unlinked genes i.e. on different chromosomes. One gene codes for head shape and the other for tail length. The gene for head shape possess alleles H and h, while gene for tail length possess alleles T and t.

According to Mendel's law of independent assortment, the alleles of a gene will separate into gametes independently of the alleles of another gene. This occurs in such a way that each gamete will contain only one allele from a gene.

Based on this principle, an animal with genotype HhTt will undergo meiosis and randomly produce gametes with the following allelic combinations: HT, Ht, hT, and ht. As seen in the gametes, only one allele of a gene occured in a gamete at a time.

Therefore, HT is the genotype possible in a gamete of parent: HhTt.
