SOS:

"No man is an Island" is a quotation from John Donne (1572-1631). It means, "Human beings do not thrive when isolated from others." This pretty much means that no one is self-sufficient; everyone relies on others. With all the national disasters that Cuba has been hit with, its survival is dependent on people working together for a common goal, namely the reconstruction of a decimated land, economy, and people. Cuba really hasn't had much of a role in global events, since the US embargo are against them and the international stigma against them has kept them rather sidelined.

Hope this helps!

Argue A friend makes the following claim: There are enough resources
gavmur [86]

Answer:

No, I don’t agree that there are enough resources on earth to support increase in per capita consumption rates if human population growth rates stay the same.

Explanation:

  • The population is growing at a much higher rate than we expect it to be. According to statistics, in recent years we've been adding about a billion people every 12 or 13 years or so.
  • There are no any resource which lasts eternity, so we must use it very wisely.
  • And we all know the consequences of the increasing population. The resources are limited and population is excessive so with this rate of growth of population and limited resources, we are the guest for few decades only.
